Spring/Summer 2027: When Colour Trends Meet Hand-Painted Nature
Every season brings a new colour story, but I have always believed that trends become meaningful only when they feel authentic.
The Spring/Summer 2027 palette predicted by WGSN and Coloro introduces vibrant shades such as Luminous Blue, Pop Pink, and Energy Orange. Rather than creating designs around these colours, I discovered that many of them had already found their place in my watercolor collections.
My inspiration has always come from nature. Flowers, leaves and tropical plants naturally offer the very colours that are expected to define the coming season.
Luminous Blue – Calm, Depth and Freshness
Blue is one of the strongest colours for Spring/Summer 2027. It represents clarity, optimism and emotional balance while reflecting the beauty of water and open skies.
In my collection, Luminous Blue appears through hand-painted cornflowers, delicate botanical illustrations and tropical foliage. Watercolour allows different shades of blue to flow into one another, creating prints that feel both fresh and sophisticated.
Whether used in monochromatic florals or combined with lush tropical leaves, blue becomes a timeless foundation for elegant textile designs.
Energy Orange – Nature Full of Life
Orange is the colour of movement, creativity and warmth.
Instead of using it as a flat graphic colour, I chose to interpret it through tropical flowers and birds of paradise. Their naturally vibrant petals perfectly reflect the optimistic mood forecast for the upcoming season.
Hand-painted watercolour adds softness and depth, allowing energetic colours to remain elegant rather than overwhelming.
Pop Pink – Romantic with a Contemporary Twist
Pink returns in Spring/Summer 2027 in a more expressive way than ever before. Rich floral pinks and vibrant botanical tones celebrate femininity while remaining modern and confident.
This direction feels especially close to my artistic language.
My pink collections combine blooming flowers with delicate botanical details, creating romantic compositions inspired by nature rather than fleeting fashion.
Each motif begins as a hand-painted illustration before becoming part of a repeat pattern, preserving the softness and individuality of traditional watercolour.
Painting Before Following Trends
Although colour forecasts inspire me, they never become the starting point of my work.
Every collection begins with painting — observing flowers, studying plants and capturing their natural colours with watercolour.
Perhaps that is why seasonal trends often feel so familiar. Nature has always been ahead of fashion, and my goal is simply to translate its beauty into timeless surface patterns.
My Reflection
What strikes me most about the Spring/Summer 2027 colour forecast is how naturally it aligns with my creative process. The vibrant blues, expressive pinks and warm oranges are not colours I added because they are trending. They are colours I have been painting for years, inspired by gardens, tropical landscapes and the changing seasons.
For me, trends are not about chasing what is new—they are an opportunity to rediscover nature through a contemporary lens.
